The NSFW AI characters which have been trained using GPT-4 are, according to a 2023 report by the MIT Media Lab, 84% accurate in their emotional response F1 score but still have an 18% (as per the GLUE benchmark test) context consistency error. The classic example is the “Cyber Enchantment” project reported by The New York Times: During training, developers had the model learn by intyping 89 BDSM scripts (4.7 million words), enabling characters to generate interactive stories with 12 plot branches in 0.9 seconds, and the user retention rate rose to 73% (29% for the industry average).
Multimodal data fusion is a main technical direction. Anthropic’s Constitutional AI technology enables the character to dynamically modify the base frequency of voice (accuracy ±3Hz) and micro-expression parameters (with facial action unit differences <7 groups). Mounting the Teslasuit haptic feedback device (pressure simulation 5-12N, accuracy ±0.3N), the immersion rating of the player is increased up to 89/100 (only 54 points in text mode). The Japanese Mirror operational data suggests that for the characters equipped with the Stable Diffusion XL real-time costume changing (having 5.2 sets of clothes per second), GPU energy consumption has increased to 650W per session (cost increased by 43%) while the user-paid conversion rate has increased 2.7-fold (from 14% to 38%).
User behavior data-driven ongoing optimization. On the basis of analysis of 10 million users’ log data, the authors found that if the role memory improving system (91% rate of preference memory accuracy) and the dynamic ethical review (with a delay of less than 0.3 seconds) were applied concurrently, the repurchase rate within 30 days would be as much as 62% (35% in the control group). NSFW AI with the integration of brain-computer interfaces (BCI) is predicted to achieve neural signal-level emotional feedback (with an error of <2.7μV) by 2026, but the R&D budget needs to increase to 5.2 million per project (currently 1.8 million). As the technology generation gap and the complexity of human nature continue to battle their way through, the limits of credibility for electronic characters are being redefined.
